Page 2 of 2 The meteors within Eta Aquarid will appear to originate (radiate) from a point near the northeastern corner of the constellation Aquarius. The radiant will be visible in the Southern Hemisphere just after midnight but doesn’t reach its highest position in the sky until after sunrise. Thus, the best time to view the Eta Aquarid meteor shower, according to astronomers, is from about one to two hours before sunrise.
