Page 2 of 2 The other interesting point in the Net Applications report is that the Mac's share dropped slightly from March to April. After hitting a recent peak of 7.57 percent, it is now down to 7.01 percent. Much of that ground has been lost to Windows (now 91.99 percent for all versions), with a few hundredths of a percentage point going to Linux.
Looking at the figures over a longer period, this seems to be merely part of a steady ebb and flow. The trend still seems to be that Windows is losing share to Mac OS X and Linux, with other devices including the iPhone, PlayStation and Wii gradually accounting for an increasing amount of web use.
