Page 3 of 3 The result? Through the spilling of developers sweat and creative juices, games are churned out for the voracious interactive entrtainment market. As TV audiences dwindle and the demographic for video games widens, so does the mainstream appeal. Is there a down-side? Winners seem to be all around, employment is up, consumers are enjoying competitive market forces driving prices down and major publishing houses are installing larger vaults to handle the resulting profits. And as a further side bonus, the sedentary nature of video gaming seems to be altering, Wii Fit is burning fat at home in the guise of a game, so perhaps even human health is a winner also. It may reach terminal velocity sometime in the near future, but for now the continued success of video gaming is a gold rush.
