Yahoo! has selected Jajah to deliver a VoIP service that will enable its 97 million customers to make "high-quality, low-cost" PC-to-phone and phone-to-PC voice calls to more than 200 countries using Yahoo! Messenger. Three year old Jajah, which claims 10 million customers worldwide, has also announced that, in response to "demand from business industry leaders" it is opening up its voice platform and offering managed service solutions to other third parties. According to CEO, Trevor Healy. "Opening the Jajah platform will solve companies' need for immediate access to a proven, affordable global calling infrastructure, help them retain their customer base and strengthen communication offerings." Jajah says it will "solidify key partnerships with landline operators, cable companies, mobile carriers and technology partners." |
