Engadget is reporting that its readers are seeing XP SP3 available on torrent networks, and are supposedly able to bypass WGA (Windows Genuine Checks) that would only worry people will pirate versions of Windows XP in the first place. Now, we at iTWire do not condone, recommend, prescribe or suggest that piracy is a good idea. You have no idea how the XP SP3 update on torrent sites has been modified – it might come with a not so tasty side serving of malware. And even though the XP SP3 update is free, copying it is piracy. So, you’ve been warned. The bona-fide XP SP3 download will go live on April 29, a mere three days from today, and chances are, even though XP SP3 has received stunningly good coverage in comparison with Vista SP1, the ‘other’ service pack that Microsoft has been working on, chances are there will be problems.
