But even at a technology-intense company like Bullseye, there’s a limit.

“Reasonable use’ is a fair term to describe our approach, but we don’t put a time limit on it, unless it’s interfering with their ability to do their job.”

And has there been a case when someone had to be told to curb their habit because, frankly, they had better things to do?

“The opposite: people are sharing things with others that they find of Facebook and we are using it as a way to come up with innovations. We’re turning the activity into a business opportunity, looking to develop Facebook applications for our clients.”

Abrahams says getting the balance right is “particularly important” in the current low unemployment market.

“There’s intense competition for young talent,” he says.
