Page 1 of 2 Due for release in Australian stores on May 8th , the Australian Fitness Expo will be one of the first chances for folks to try the new Wii peripheral that has already shipped many a unit in Japan. From the release; Nintendo will utilise the Australian Fitness Expo, to be staged at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre, 18 – 20 April, 2008, as part of their promotional campaign in the lead up to the Australian launch of the new Wii Fit – the personal trainer that fits under your couch! The Australian Fitness Expo is Australasia’s largest event for everyone interested in wellness and a healthy lifestyle and as such, has been recognised by Nintendo as the perfect place to showcase the Wii Fit to the lifestyle and fitness market. Wii Fit on Wii is a unique and innovative way for people to stay fit in the comfort of their own home, by using the Wii console and performing simple, daily exercises on the motion sensitive Wii Balance Board. More than just a ‘video game’ experience, Wii Fit is a health and lifestyle product with more than 40 exercises across four categories – balance games, yoga, muscle workouts and aerobic exercises. In short, Wii Fit can effectively turn people’s lounge rooms into their own private gymnasium. |
