Page 3 of 3 But with a population of only 21 million people, Australia certainly is an ideal test-bed to see how successful such a strategy would be. If you haven’t purchased one yet, why risk it now, when the goodness of a glass and a half of full cream 3G and iPhone in one could soon be on sale? Sadly, we’ll just have to wait and see – Apple might not release any 3G iPhone until close to the start of the fourth quarter to take advantage of the massive Christmas/holiday/end-of-year shopping sales season, or might even delay it further. Interestingly, Australian Macworld has also published this story - without any reference to MacTalk - saying they've heard of interesting rumours from the Mac reseller community too. Maybe this one really has legs! When it comes to Apple, anything is possible. But the announcement of a 3G iPhone, and an unlocked one in Australia at that, would be “one more thing” most definitely worth waiting for! I'd buy one in a heartbeat, especially as I'm already a 2G iPhone owner. Would you be likewise tempted? Share your thoughts on what you'd do, and whether you think this is genuine or not...
