The non-sniffable OPEL smell of WiMAX E-mail
by Alex Zaharov-Reutt

All we know is that getting broadband to Australians is no easy thing, and everyone, from consumers to ISPs to the Federal Government itself, all have their own agendas.

So – two of the world’s three OPELs are successful. Non-sniffable OPEL fuel in Australia’s Northern Territory and the German OPEL car.

But the smell of OPEL’s proposed WiMAX network was too strong for the Australian Government to bear.

WiMAX is a technology that will soon be in every laptop, many phones, and will replace all the 802.11b/g/n devices which will be 802.11b/g/n and WiMAX, all-in-one.

Depending on what Unwired and Austar will do next, Australians might have this great wireless networking technology effectively disabled because there is no WiMAX network to connect to.

I don’t pretend to know what the Australian Federal Government is thinking. I mean, they’re so new to office that I’m not even sure they know what they’re doing yet, as they fly by the seat of their pants trying to find out.

OPELs... Two out of three ain’t bad. But three out of three would have been better for us all.
