XP SP3 faster than Vista SP1: report E-mail

Given that Windows XP is still a fully supported operating system by Microsoft, and has full software support from manufacturers out there, there’s still no real reason to rush out and buy a new computer with Vista if your current system is running normally.

All of that said, I’ve been using Vista since RC1 back in August 2007, and much prefer Vista to XP on many levels.

To each their own. But one thing is clear: the as-yet unavailable XP SP3 (which is coming very, very soon apparently) is one more reason to stick with XP for the time being.

The view from Vista is certainly vast and grand, especially when everything is working properly, and some users out there (particularly those who work in a 64-bit environment) are reporting great success with the 64-bit version of Vista.

But the view from XP is still quite Xcellent, so if you are going to upgrade, you might want to consider upgrading to XP SP3, first.
