IBM reinstated by the Feds E-mail
by Stephen Withers
Monday, 07 April 2008
The temporary suspension order preventing IBM from bidding for new US Federal Government contracts has been lifted.

No details were revealed in the announcement, but there have been reports that the suspension resulted from suggestions that an Environmental Protection Agency employee may have incorrectly revealed information to an IBM employee.

What is known is that the bid at the centre of the matter occurred two years ago.

Company officials say IBM will continue to cooperate with investigations of the matter being conducted by the EPA and by the US Attorney's Office.
