Airgain Inc. Appoints Former Hewlett-Packard Chief Executive to Board E-mail

Airgain, Inc., a smart-antenna innovator improving wireless connectivity in next-generation wireless systems, welcomes Robert Wayman to its board of directors. Mr. Wayman retired from Hewlett-Packard in December 2006 following a 37-year career with the world’s largest PC maker.    "We are pleased to add Robert Wayman to the company's board," said Airgain President and CEO Pertti Visuri, Ph.D. “He is a well-respected corporate leader whose insights and experiences will be key to moving Airgain forward as the leader in providing high-performance, reliable wireless connectivity throughout the home.”   Named chief financial officer of Hewlett-Packard in 1984, Wayman started with the company in 1969. He served on HP’s board of directors from 1993 to 2002 and from 2005 to 2007. Mr. Wayman was also interim CEO for Hewlett-Packard in 2005.  Wayman is also a director of Conway Inc., Affymetrix, and Sybase Inc. and graduated with a bachelor's degree in science engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University.
