The ability to view spreadsheets and presentations offline will be added "soon". The creation of new word processing documents is also planned.

Google Apps Offline requires the installation of Google Gears, which is available for Windows XP and Vista (Firefox 1.5 or later or Internet Explorer 6.0 or later), Windows Mobile 5 or later (Internet Explorer 4.01 or later), Mac OS X (10.2 or later and Firefox 1.5 or later) and Linux (glibc 2.3.5 or later, libstdc++5 and Firefox 1.5 or later).

Initially, offline access is only available in English.
