Linksys took second place with 28.4 percent, followed by Belkin on 17 percent and Netgear on 13.2 percent. "D-Link has emerged as the leader in shipping draft 802.11n products, a clear indication that the market is confident with the technology that it has to offer," said Norm Bogen, director of networking at In-Stat. "We're pleased that the market is embracing our line of 11n products, and we'll continue to develop robust solutions based on this standard for both the digital home and business environment," said Maurice Famularo, Marketing Director, D-Link Australia and New Zealand. Linksys officials have described the company's 802.11n sales as disappointing, and in January the company announced an 11n router with a new case design intended to be more appealing to consumers. Final approval of the 802.11n specification is expected later this year. |
