myDIALS Opens First Asia Pacific Offices in Australia E-mail
Thursday, 13 March 2008
Brisbane, 13 March 2008 – myDIALS, a US-headquartered company pioneering a new industry standard in operational performance management, has launched its first Asia Pacific offices in Brisbane and Perth, and unveiled a hosted software solution which will provide Australian organisations with a leading on-demand performance improvement platform.  At the same time, myDIALS has named Ausreo, an Australian manufacturer of  concrete reinforcement products to the building and construction industry, as its first local customer. A supplier for projects including the Spencer Street Railway Station in Melbourne and the Epping to Chatswood Rail Link in Sydney, Ausreo is the first local organisation to implement myDIALS across its operations in Victoria and New South Wales.

myDIALS offers companies the first performance management solution to effectively link and immediately present operations and business metrics as they change.  The software surpasses the capabilities of current dashboard technology and provides an alternative to costly and resource-intensive business intelligence systems by placing the ability to visualise and analyse KPIs directly in the hands of decision makers.

By combining business and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from heterogeneous systems, myDIALS delivers on-demand, actionable metrics and associated Key Performance Drivers (KPDs) to optimise decision making, drive aligned behaviour and support company goals.

myDIALS will enable Ausreo management to view safety and production data and then compare the information to corporate and industry targets.

"As a steel manufacturing business, understanding the key business drivers is critical to our success and having that information available in a clear, crisp display wherever I am in the world is a real step forward.

“Within days of myDIALS being implemented, we were able to see the complete picture for our safety data and a sample of our production data.  I am looking forward to rolling myDIALS out to more of our employees, which will then result in the alignment of organisational behaviour with our KPIs,” said Dennis Crestani, CEO, Ausreo.

As part of its holistic approach to operational performance management, myDIALS includes the following features:

* Hosted delivery model (Software as a Service/SaaS) offers a rich user experience without downloads or plug-ins;

* Intelligent Metrics Processor (IMP) offers continuous data analysis, combining operations metrics (time-series based) with business metrics (transactional based);

* “Smart Dials” perform multi-dimensional drilling and time shifting to show visualisation of metric relationships in context;

* Industry modules are aligned with vertical industries and contain embedded expertise that predefines metrics, KPIs, alerts, guided diagnosis and assistance;

* Next-generation user interfaces utilise Web 2.0 technology and enable quick analysis and knowledge sharing;

* The ability to easily connect to and extract metric data from multiple, disparate systems including: ERP, CRM, MES, databases and spreadsheets;

* Industry and Process Modules minimise deployment time for fast time-to-value.
myDIALS has also announced the appointment of Jeremy Bolton as Sales and Marketing Manager for Australia.  Operating from the company’s newly launched Australian office in Brisbane, Bolton will be responsible for development of the company’s distribution partnerships and for new customer business. The initial focus will be on the augmentation of customer support infrastructure, engagement of key sales and technical personnel, and the development of comprehensive alliance partner programs.  Product development of the offering for myDIALS’ global customers is being performed by a research and development team based in Perth and Brisbane.

“Companies do not currently have an easy way to combine business and operations metrics in order to determine how they’re performing. They turn to spreadsheets, which inevitably lead to conflicting metrics, and rely on business analysts, who prepare static, periodic reports.  More than ever they need consistent, trusted metrics delivered in a timely manner.

“myDIALS is raising the standard on true performance improvement with a cost-effective, easily deployable solution for decision makers throughout the organisation.  I’m excited to be part of the company that can provide these much needed solutions,” said Jeremy Bolton, sales and marketing manager, myDIALS.
