Sony have given up the Australian release date for Kratos’s first rampage on the PlayStation Portable (PSP).

On the 27th of March Australian PSP owners will be set to steer Kratos through some further bloody adventures as God of War: Chains of Olympus makes its debut on the Sony portable.

From the release;
God of War: Chains of Olympus sees Spartan anti-hero Kratos - in a story set before 2005’s God of War™ - take on a pantheon of the most feared creatures of Greek mythology, the inhabitants of Hades, in a search to find his wife and daughter and rescue the world from eternal darkness.

God of War: Chains of Olympus brings together the undisputed talents of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios’ Santa Monica Studio – the team responsible for the bloody birth of Kratos – and the Ready at Dawn Studios, responsible for acclaimed PSP title Daxter™. Players can anticipate an original and gripping story, detailed graphics, extraordinary animation, dramatic camera work and set pieces, the likes of which have not been seen before on the PSP.

The story sees Kratos undertake a personal odyssey to Hades – a land no mere mortal has ever walked upon, a land of darkness and demons, a land where the gods are rendered powerless. It is the place where Kratos must decide between his own redemption, and the fate of mankind.

God of War: Chains of Olympus is packed full of features creating a new experience on the PSP:
- Exploration: Journey through the Gates of Hades to the Depths of Tartarus, the pit of eternal torment, facing off against all new creatures and participating in epic battles.
