Unisys Australia intends to ramp up its staff numbers by 100 in Canberra to deliver on the new regional information communication technology (ICT) support services contract with the Australian Department of Defence which was announced in February. The $240 million five year contract is the biggest win that Unisys has ever had in the Asia Pacific region and promises to keep the preferred recruitment agency Candle busy.Featured Whitepaper

Unisys will provide a range of IT support services, including network security and infrastructure support, server and desktop support of over 100,000 desktop computers running Windows XP across all Defence business groups. Positions advertised on Candle's site include the entry level position of Service Level Coordinators with skill and experience levels of IT graduate plus one year work experience and a knowledge of Windows XP. Other more senior positions advertised are Regional Service Delivery Manager, Service Level Reporting Analyst, Reporting Manager, and Service Level Control Manager. |
