5 Best Practices for Smartphone Support
Their list can be seen at their site but I’ve reprinted it here as well. - Camera frame-rate dramatically improved - Safari keeps recently visited pages in memory for quicker return access - Can now be used as an electric shaver - "Logan's Run"-style default setting in Address Book now disallows entries for contacts older than 30 - Provides even more immense sense of self-satisfaction - 200% faster to hide in coat pocket when that creepy guy meanders nearish to you during walk from work to car - After 1.1.4 update, cute indie chick who works at nearest Apple Store will totally flirt with you, srsly - GPS now automatically informs your Facebook friends list when it is OK to rob your house So... now we wait for a sign from Apple that the SDK will indeed launch in February, or will be delayed until March. We’re also all waiting to see if a true 2.0 firmware update is around the corner, with the hoped for Flash support, copy and paste, SDK support and perhaps an ‘official’ Installer.app style software (rather than forcing us to go through iTunes on the PC). There is a mobile version of iTunes after all. Finally, as I’ve only just upgraded to 1.1.3 in a country where the iPhone isn’t even available, I won’t be rushing off to get 1.1.4 – at least, not until Zibri and others have done their magic. But what’s the chance that 1.1.4 is going to be the shortest-lived iPhone firmware of all time? I still think Apple is just playing with us... with 1.2 or 2.0 coming sooner than some might expect! |
