Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 on the way E-mail

Microsoft originally took several years to release IE 7, which some derided as a bit of a Firefox rip-off. That said, IE 7 isn't too bad, but to really rev it up, IE 7 users should take a look at the IE 7 Pro add-on.

IE 7 Pro is a free software tool that gives IE 7 a number of features that should have been included as standard, such as session restore, re-opening an accidentally closed tab, the ability to stop pages from automatically refreshing, the ability to block ads and plenty more. It's free, and it's almost like having IE 7.5!

Other free browser alternatives, besides Firefox, include Opera and Maxthon, both worth checking out if you'd like to try a different, and some say much better view, of the world wide web.

Now, if only Microsoft could be convinced to write a much better version of Internet Explorer for the Windows Mobile platform, too...
