Previously general manager, Windows pProduct marketing, Brooks replaces Michael Sievert, who is leaving "to pursue new endeavours," reportedly the founding of his own company. Previously general manager, application platform marketing, he takes on a new role in charge of managing Microsoft's relationships with makers of PCs and other devices.
