Latest Office 2004 Mac security updates an essential download E-mail

Not delivering a proper version of Outlook, and instead delivering the inferior Entourage, is one dastardly backhanded way of preventing the rush to Mac OS X, especially among corporate users who wish their PCs were as hardy against the vast majority of viruses, malware and other net nasties as the Mac is.

Of course, Macs aren’t perfect no matter what even the most hardcore of fanbois say, for even Apple regularly releases all manner of security and other updates of its own.

But then we don’t want to get into a fanboi argument here: instead, we simply urge all Mac Office 2004 users to ensure their computers are regularly updated to prevent any ‘remote code execution’ surprises.

Heck, we even happily recommend Mac users ditch Office 2004 altogether and give Apple’s own iWork application a go instead.

Yes, there’s always Mac Office 2008, but for some users, what ain’t broke and is still regularly patched simply doesn’t need replacing, especially at the cost which is hundreds of dollars more than the impressive iWork suite.

Security and patches: don’t run your computer – any computer – without them!
