Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is visiting Sydney next month and will speak at a broadband conference.

Organised by peak national telco body Communications Alliance and co-hosted by Telstra Wholesale, the Broadband and Beyond conference will address "big-picture" issues including convergence, reductions in greenhouse gas emissions thanks to high bandwidth, and new business alliances, explained Communications Alliance chief executive Anne Hurley.

Other overseas speakers invited to the event include Shirley Lue Arnold, (non-executive chairman, Telkom South Africa), Didier Dillard (head of domestic wholesale, France Telecom), Berit Svendsen (vice president and head, Nordic fixed, Telenor), Stefan Gustafsson (VP global sales and marketing, Packetfront), and Annikki Schaerferdiek (vice president, marketing and strategy, multimedia division, Ericsson).

The conference will be held on March 3-4.
