Whatever you call it, it is nice for the current hip pocket if you are banking on HD DVD winning the war – a prospect looking increasingly unlikely given recent press – or you are not too concerned at the long term prospects of a HD Disc format any way. And at AU$129.95 (Australian and New Zealand regions RRP) it is not a huge investment in future proofing your choice anyway. Microsoft have announced that effective immediately, they will be “working with individual retailers to have the new pricing available as soon as possible.” for the HD DVD package that includes Peter Jacksons “King Kong” and a Xbox 360 HD DVD remote control.
