You can submit your science questions and vote for your favorite science questions to ask the presidential candidates, both Republican and Democratic, at Politico.com.

The presidential candidates are being sometimes criticized for not spending very much time talking about science, space exploration and NASA, nuclear power and other viable energy sources, and other such scientific and technological topics.

I’ve earlier listed various sources on the Internet where viewers can read about the candidates' stands on science. See iTWire article “U.S. presidential candidates and positions on Space, Science.”

Now, you go to Politico.com and submit scientific and technological questions to the Democratic and/or Republican candidates for the CNN/Politico/LA Times debates.

The specific Politico.com website to vote and submit science questions is: http://dyn.politico.com/debate/.

The Reagan Library Republican Presidential Debate is scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2008, and the Democratic Presidential Primary Debate is scheduled for Thursday, January 31, 2008.

You can also vote on your favorite science questions already submitted on the Politico.com site. Remember, though, many of the existing questions are not scientific in nature.

Science will be unfortunately delegated to the background if people do not show interest in science and all of its implications in the United States and around the world.
