More specifically, the recalled units have model numbers 31050350A, 31050500A, 31050700A, 51100350A, 51100500A, 51100700A, 51101000A, 51101500A, and serial numbers JA231A0000 - JA416A9999 and JZ231A0000 - JZ416A9999 inclusive. The problem is that a rack in the socket backing plate can cause poor retention of the UPS outlet socket contacts and loss of earthing continuity to Class 1 equipment plugged into the UPS. According to the recall notice, these units should be taken out of use immediately. Eaton or the individual supplier will provide a free replacement on return of the old one. Further information is available on 1300 880 366 between 9am and 5pm EST, Monday to Friday. |
