Sales of Apple's iPhone in the United Kingdom have been disappointing, according to one report.

Quoting unnamed 'industry insiders,' Britain's Mail on Sunday says there is "evidence that British consumers have shunned the device", especially outside London.

The report also claims Apple has instructed its UK partners O2 and Carphone Warehouse not to disclose sales figures.

Mail on Sunday also claims that it is likely that Steve Jobs' keynote presentation at Macworld Expo this week will not disclose sales figures for individual European countries.
