After dropping the hardware to focus on a software game delivery platform, Nokia have announced the N-gage gaming service has been delayed again, pushing out to early 2008.

Despite being known for their mobile phones, Nokia have been busy on the software front recently, opening a U.K based music store last month, as well as a mapping service.

But the somewhat troubled game delivery service, the re-badged N-gage has just been pushed out until “early 2008”.

After originally being slated for a November 2007 release, slower than expected software development has been identified as the contributing factor in this latest delay.

“We identified one issue with the software that we want to resolve before going live. This will take a few weeks and we now plan to launch in early 2008," said Nokia spokesman Kari Tuutti.
