Apple has released a second version of its recent security updates to fix a bug that was causing its Safari web browser to crash.

Security Update 2007-009 v1.1 for Mac OS X and Safari 3 Beta Security Update v1.1 for Windows each address bugs in the original versions that led to a crash when certain web pages were viewed.

It appears that no other changes were made to the software.

Security Update 2007-009 v1.1 is available in separate versions for Mac OS X 10.5, 10.4.11 for PowerPC, and a Universal version for 10.4.11.

The software can be downloaded and installed by running Software Update (or Apple Software Update for Windows), or it can be downloaded from the Apple Downloads web  page.
