Activision has given us a date, sort of, for the release of the stand alone wireless guitar peripheral. {mosloadposiiton mike}Currently the only way to pick up a wireless guitar, with detachable neck, for the wildly popular Guitar Hero III is with the game package itself. This is fine for solo shredders, but for those of us wishing to rock with friends, it becomes somewhat awkward. Activision now tell us, wait for it, that the wireless peripheral will be available for purchase, in North America, will be “early 2008”. Not too much info there and no indication of a release outside of the U.S. Smacks a little of teaser material in order to take some shine of competitor MTV's Rock Band's recent release. Still, there is always the more traditional wired guitar available as a stand-alone purchase. To some sectors of the video gaming guitar simulation fraternity is considered a more realistic replication of the Rock-God experience. |
