Security updates for Mac OS X 10.3.9 client and server provide fixes for AppleRAID, bind, CoreFoundation, Flash Player Plug-in, and Foundation. They also incorporate Security Update 2007-007.

Apple recommends each of the above updates to users of the corresponding operating systems.

On the pro applications side, Apple has revised SoundTrack Pro (2.0.2), Final Cut Pro (6.0.2), DVD Studio Pro (4.2.1), Motion (3.0.2), Color (1.0.2), Cinema Tools (4.0.1), Compressor (3.0.2), and released Pro Applications Update 2007-002 to fix components shared by the Final Cut Studio 2 applications.

The changes are said to address specific customer issues and improve compatibility, stability and performance.

The iPhoto component of Apple's iLife 08 package is the subject of another update. This one is said to provide compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5, improve overall stability and address a number of other minor issues.

The final update in this week's bumper crop is specifically for the 20 and 24in aluminium iMacs, and updates the firmware of the ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro "to improve system stability." There have been a number of complaints from owners of those models about system freezes.

The iMac Graphics Firmware Update 1.0 requires the iMac Software Update 1.2.1 for Tiger or iMac Software Update 1.3 for Leopard. Apple notes that not every aluminium iMac requires this update, and it will only appear in Software Update on those systems that do need it.
