Technology One Limited (ASX: TNE), a leading Australian provider of enterprise business software solutions has announced the appointment of Edward Chung to the position of Operating Officer, Corporate Shared Services.

The new position has been created to streamline the finance, accounting, administration, legal, human resources and other corporate functions which support TechnologyOne’s expanding business.

Formerly Chief Financial Officer for Queensland Rail, Edward has extensive experience leading large teams of professionals in the delivery of corporate support functions required to drive the success of a large organisation.

The new role of Operating Officer, Corporate Services at TechnologyOne has been created to support the company’s House of Products business model.  TechnologyOne recently restructured its business to drive greater focus for each product to be best in its class. This new business model enables each product to be managed as its own business division, focusing on the required Research & Development, Sales, Consulting and Support to be the market leader in its space, with common corporate support provided across all products.

Edward will be responsible for delivering shared corporate functions, including the finance, accounting, legal, human resources and administration functions, to all the TechnologyOne business. He is charged with developing commercial frameworks for the delivery of the most efficient, automated, low cost and complementary processes to drive the company’s expansion.

Edward joins TechnologyOne’s four existing Operating Officers who lead the company’s Consulting, Research & Development, Sales & Marketing and New Business Development areas. 

TechnologyOne announced a record profit earlier this month, with Profit Before Tax increasing 22 per cent to $19.8 million.
