Technology One Limited
(ASX:TNE), a leading Australian provider of enterprise software solutions, has
secured a contract to provide its TechnologyOne Financials, SupplyChain and
Budgeting solutions to Prime Television, an Australian public listed company
which operates in the media industry across Australia and New Zealand.
In recent
years, Prime Television has diversified its operations outside of its
traditional ‘free-to-air’ television broadcasting role, entering into the radio
broadcasting market with a current total of ten stations and, more recently,
making a number of strategic acquisitions in the digital new media space.
The recently
signed contracts were awarded to TechnologyOne following a selective tender for
the replacement of Prime Television’s incumbent software, which was deemed to be
end-of-life and unable to meet the company’s escalating
needs.
Andrew
Cooper, Group Finance Manager, Prime Television said that the expansion of the company
through acquisitions meant that they had an increasing requirement for
decentralised management of purchasing functions, inter-entity accounting and
consolidation.
“We needed a
solution which had the flexibility to easily enable the addition of new entities
into our chart and reporting structures. The ability of this solution to do
this, coupled with the ability to customise the software to our unique needs in
a cost-effective manner was a key factor in our decision to choose TechnologyOne
over other vendors. The scalable nature of the software also meant that I could
purchase a solution which meets our current situation, but have the option to
implement additional components and expand the system to suit our needs as they
change”.
“The ability
to partner with one vendor to meet all of our requirements was another
significant reason behind our choice. It was important to us to have a fully
integrated system without having to assemble a number of different elements.
TechnologyOne was able to provide a solution which fit with the overall picture
of our company. From a personal perspective, knowing we would be working with
the same team from TechnologyOne from implementation through to services and
support, gave me a high level of confidence that they could deliver our system
successfully.”
The first
phase of implementation which includes TechnologyOne Financials will go live in
November, followed by a second phase in early 2008 which will include Purchasing
and Budgeting modules. When complete, the solution will have over 80 users and
will improve access and information flow, including simplified and real-time
reporting to meet operational and statutory requirements. In addition, the
solution presents individual managers with a tailored, active, role-specific
workplace unique to the work that they do which includes proactive task alerts,
self-service report generation and a workflow engine to automate and streamline
the job at hand.
Adrian Di
Marco, Executive Chairman, TechnologyOne says this partnership illustrates the
TechnologyOne difference which is defined by the Power of One value proposition.
“At
TechnologyOne, we pride ourselves on taking total responsibility for the success
of our customer’s investment in our technology. We partner directly with our
customers to ensure their ongoing success and work relentlessly to build
innovative software that has a profound and positive impact on the user
experience and overall business processes.
“Our proven
track record in the media industry in NSW, which includes customers such as
Global Television, Premier Media Group (Fox Sports), Film
