Email filtering provider MailGuard has signed Acer Computer Australia as a new client.

Acer selected MailGuard on the recommendation of network and managed services provider Netforce.

"We placed Acer on a one month trial and that was that," said Shane Jesson, pre-sales consultant at Netforce. "The company was sold on the clear value of a managed anti-spam solution within a few days of the trial commencing."

In addition to spam blocking, MailGuard also filters web downloads.

"The fact that on a 24 x 7 basis the filtering technology MailGuard uses is continuously updated in response to new threats gives us real peace of mind," said Acer's IT manager Mark Colwell, who also likes the way it takes the administrative load from his staff.
