Sydney, 3 October 2007 --Neoware, Inc. (NASDAQ: NWRE), a leading provider of thin client computing solutions, today announced the development of a new, dramatically more powerful version of its mobile thin client notebook. The Neoware m2000 notebook, which is the first and only thin client device powered by an Intel® processor, increases Neoware's technological advantage over its competitors. Built on the success of its predecessor the Neoware m100, which was introduced in October 2006, the Neoware m2000 will enable Neoware to more effectively target a broader set of vertical markets, particularly those where mobility, high performance and data security is of the utmost importance. The Neoware m2000 innovations, which represent the next generation of mobile thin client technology, come at a time of significant growth for the thin client market. According to leading analyst firm IDC, thin client computing achieved a year-over-year growth rate of 25.7 percent for the second quarter of 2007. As the fastest and most powerful mobile thin client available, the m2000 gives Neoware the ability to capitalise on this growing market demand. The Neoware m2000 takes another step toward making thin clients viable alternatives to traditional PCs, especially for the financial, healthcare and government verticals where mobility, performance and data security are critical. The Neoware m2000 will feature an Intel® processor, greatly enhancing the computing performance of the new device. Computing speeds are also being enhanced through more advanced flash memory technology. The new Neoware m2000 will deliver the security and cost benefits of a thin client with a full range of connectivity options, including wireless 802.11 b/g, wired Ethernet, and compatibility with wireless broadband cards for virtually anytime, anywhere connectivity. The Neoware m2000 will be available in late calendar-year 2007. While it will deliver superior performance, compared to the m100, Neoware expects to offer the m2000 for a list price comparable to that of the Neoware m100. The Neoware m2000 will be available with Linux®, Windows® XPe and Windows® CE. About Neoware Neoware, Inc.
