The jacket is being included with new hardware shipments, and is designed to be easily removable for use with accessory items such as the steering wheel. "We're always looking for ways to improve our products and make sure everyone has a safe and fun experience," said George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. Australian owners can request a Wii Remote Jacket by phoning Nintendo Customer Service on 03 9730 9822 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm EST) and quoting their Wii console serial number. Owners in the US or Canada can make their request online; the form for those in the UK or Ireland is here. The jackets should begin shipping in mid-October 2007. |
