In Australia, one of the first of 37 countries that the Master Chief will land upon this week has Halo 3 on shelves right now. David McLean, Director of Xbox, says, "Excitement couldn't be higher for 'Halo 3'. An astonishing one-in-four Xbox 360 owners have pre-ordered the game in Australia and we're expecting 'Halo 3' to set new sales records for not just video games but the entertainment industry at large."
