Mac OS X 10.5 is nearing completion, with only two known issues in the latest developer build.

Build 9A528d, distributed to developers late last week, presents two installation problems, according to AppleInsider.

The first is that an 'archive and install' may fail in some circumstances on some PowerPC systems; the second relates to HP printer drivers, which currently need to be installed via Software Update rather than as part of the normal OS installation process.

An October release of Leopard seems just about feasible at this stage, but Think Secret is tipping a 10.5.1 update delivering "relatively minor" bug fixes will appear shortly after Leopard's debut.
