Dimension Data's training arm, Dimension Data Learning Solutions, has been accredited by Apple Australia to provide training to enterprise users of Apple products: a move that reflects growing interest in Apple gear among large organisations.

According to Dimension Data, "Apple products are increasingly in demand in marketing, HR, learning and development, content production and many other areas of business, with their Unix based servers and storage playing a role in the back end."

Dimension Data Learning Solutions (DDLS) which claims to be Australia's largest national learning solutions provider, has become the first Australian training provider to be accredited by Apple to service the enterprise sector. DDLS expects its Apple training courses to attract more than 2,000 students during the next 12 months.

According to DDLS general manager, Steve Ross, "Apple certification is one of the fastest growing technical certification programs in the industry."

DDLS has three Apple courses on offer in the early stages of the partnership, but says it will adopt a flexible approach to broaden this offering as demand increases.  The three are:
- Mac OS 101 Mac OS X Support Essentials v10.4 - in-depth troubleshooting on Mac OS X.
- Mac OS 105 Introduction to Supporting Mac OS v10.4 for Windows Administrators - Developed specifically for IT professionals who have come from a Windows environment to incorporate their knowledge of Windows support.
- Mac OS 200 Mac OS X Server Essentials v10.4- Covers the implementation and maintenance of a Mac OS X server-based system.{moscomment}
