The most promising being the balance board, with a packaged Wii-Fit game/exercise program. The balance board holds potential to expand, yet again, the controller interfaces and game developer options. The other two devices, the new steering wheel housing and Wii-Zapper were criticized for simply being over-priced pieces of plastic. At US$19.99 the Wii-Zapper turns the original Wii controllers – the Wii-mote and Nunchuck – Into a zombie blasting light gun.  Fans will no doubt be encouraged to hear of plans to include a game with the Wii-Zapper pack. They will be further delighted to hear that said game may well be a Zelda title. Apparently, in Las Vegas this week, GameStop store franchise managers were given a world-exclusive look at Zelda Crossbow Training. A source from the GameStop show told Ars Technica; "The game looked beautiful," my source said. "I'm pretty sure it was running on the Twilight Princess engine. It's a third-person game, and you had some control over Link. While the video was way too short to get a good idea of the gameplay, it looks like a light-gun inspired Zelda title." Hopefully there will be more substance to follow; potentially this can make the new peripheral more or less enticing depending on which side of the fence you fall.
