LG Electronics has introduced into Australia its Prada Phone (KE850), the first totally touch screen operated cellphone in the world when it was launched earlier this year.

The 3G product was developed jointly with luxury goods brand Prada and will be available from Vodafone and Optus retailers from mid September at a recommended retail price of $999.

The two companies say they  worked closely together on every aspect of the product, from handset development to marketing. "Prada’s involvement extends beyond exterior aesthetics to the key elements of the user experience such as the advanced touch interface, ring tones, pre-loaded content, mobile phone accessories and the exclusive leather case, inspired by the classic Italian craftsmen tradition."

The phone comes with a two megapixel camera, video player and document viewer, MP3 player and a music multitasking function for messaging. {moscomment}
