My Net Fone offers follow-me service for VoIP customers E-mail

VoIP provider My Net Fone has launched a service that enables customers to forward calls made to their VoIP number to any number globally, and to have the system try a series of numbers in rotation sending the caller to voicemail if none are answered.

My Net Fone director, Rene Sugo said the feature "My Net Fone Follow me" was the first in a series of network-based unified communications features which the company planned to introduce that would increase the ARPU and the 'stickiness' of MyNetFone service.

There is no additional charge for the service other than whatever charge the user would normally pay on their My Net Fone service to call the number at which the call is finally answered. Users can set the numbers in real time via their account on My Net Fone's web portal.

My Net Fone has also introduced Global Access which enables customers to take advantage of its low call rates when placing calls from any phone. The user registers the number from which they intend to call via their account on the web site, then dials a local number to access the My Net Fone system then dials the final destination number.

At present dial-in numbers are available only in Sydney and Melbourne but Sugo said they would be available in every local call area by the end of September and later in New Zealand and in other countries.{moscomment}
