IDS Scheer Signs Australian Reseller Agreement with SAP for ARIS Business Process Management E-mail
Tuesday, 04 September 2007
IDS Scheer, the leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), today announced that SAP will resell its ARIS software platform in Australia, helping customers accelerate solution upgrades, boost business process efficiency and assist with government regulatory compliance.

The announcement builds on the strong relationship already in place between SAP and IDS Scheer. IDS Scheer is an SAP global services partner and SAP is a strategic partner of IDS Scheer. Both companies have previously offered the joint application, ARIS for SAP NetWeaver®, a comprehensive business process analysis (BPA) solution that allows customers to model and align business processes for SAP® applications.

“Efficient management and delivery of business processes is the foundation of a best-run business,” said Alan Hyde, CEO and Managing Director, SAP Australia and New Zealand.  “This is especially significant for organisations that are looking to improve their flexibility and capacity for innovation by moving to an enterprise SOA. Our partnership with IDS Scheer provides SAP customers with easy access to the market-leading ARIS software platform, which complements their strategic investments in the SAP NetWeaver platform.”

In response to growing customer demand in Australia, SAP will now resell an extended set of IDS Scheer ARIS modules for managing business processes that are marketed under the name SAP Enterprise Modeling application by IDS Scheer, which includes packages such as the following:

Process Performance Management
SAP Process Performance Management by IDS Scheer analyses processes running in SAP solutions and automatically generates graphic documentation of the “as is” processes. At the same time, the system uses previously defined process performance indicators to evaluate the current process performance from a pure business perspective.  An integrated early warning system and process mining capabilities automatically monitor all processes and display a warning if these deviate from the plan.

Enterprise Modeling and Business Intelligence Re-documentation
With SAP Enterprise Modeling by IDS Scheer complemented by enterprise architecture management, users of SAP applications will now have a clearly structured, easily understandable description method that covers all the relevant elements in today’s architecture standards. The software supports all the necessary planning processes for establishing the target architecture that is geared to the business processes.

With SAP Enterprise Modeling by IDS Scheer, SAP will now offer integration with an SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI)-based landscape. This supports IT managers, BI experts and staff in specialist departments in the end-to-end re-documentation, conception and modeling required for BI rollout, harmonisation or consolidation projects.

Business Process Optimisation

The SAP Business Process Optimisation application by IDS Scheer adds quantitative process analysis to web-based modelling with the help of extensive simulation functionalities. Organisations are able to realistically simulate process hierarchies and interlinked business processes. Organisational structures and other resources involved in the process are also taken into account. With SAP Business Process Optimisation, business process improvements can help to optimise process handling times, reduce costs and increase the quality of processes.

“We are pleased to see the cooperation with SAP now placed on a broader foundation,” said Darren Covington, Managing Director, Pacific Region, IDS Scheer.  “The addition of other ARIS platform products to the existing reseller agreement boosts the partnership between our two companies. At the same time, the expanded agreement strengthens IDS Scheer’s future growth potential in Australia in these specific product areas and helps consolidate the market leadership of ARIS in the field of BPM.”

IDS Scheer’s ARIS platform is an important solution that helps organisations optimise their investments in strategic business and technology initiatives, including enterprise SOA and enterprise architecture initiatives for applications including CRM, supply chain management, strategic enterprise management and human capital management.
