With the forthcoming European launch of the iPhone, BMW will present the iPhone-equipped vehicles at the Frankfurt Auto Show on September 13. BMW was one of the first car makers to offer integrated iPod support, allowing the music player to be operated from the car's radio, steering wheel buttons or iDrive controller. Playlist, track and artist information is displayed on the car's monitor or radio display. The company also offers Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones (including the iPhone) with support for handsfree operation via the steering wheel buttons, iDrive or voice control. |
