Developed by the folks behind Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, Stranglehold features a re-collaboration between legendary action directory John Woo and his “Hard Boiled” star Chow Yun-Fat.

Stranglehold promises to deliver all that is famous from John Woo’s cinematic work, massive environmental damage in real-time or slow-motion :”Tequila Time”

Stranglehold demo is available for download on Xbox Live now. Stranglehold  is scheduled for release in the Australian retail market on September 20th 2007 on Xbox 360 at a recommended retail price of AU$119.95 and on PC at AU$99.95. Stranglehold  will be available on PS3 in October 2007. This game is classified “MA15+” ‘Strong Action Violence’ by the Office of Film and Literature Classification.

At the same time Red Ant are heading for the two wheeled, high powered race track as they and developers Black Bean announce SBK-08.  From the press release;

The highly popular, and officially licensed franchise is ready to put the hammer down and streak into your living room, giving you the best of both worlds…high octane action for “pick up and play” gamers, or alternately, a ridiculous wealth of customizable options for the strategist who wants to tweak every little component to maximize performance.

Black Bean want to bring the most intense, realistic, edge of your seat styled racing experience, bar the scraped knees, shattered helmets, broken bones and tumbling crashes, so smoke ‘em up, and prepare for the ride of your life!!

SBK-08 is scheduled for release in the Australian retail market May 2008, on Playstation 3™, Playstation 2™, Playstation Portable™, Xbox360™ and PC.
