Targeting Halloween (Oct 31) for North America, Australia November 1st and Europe on November 2nd players will find themselves in a dynamically generated demon infested London city. “We wanted to hit the sweet-spot for release in terms of the development schedule and delivering the highest-quality game to our players,” said Bill Roper, CEO of Flagship Studios. “Halloween was the perfect fit as it ensures that Hellgate: London will have an appropriate amount of beta testing, while also being an incredibly fun time to unleash the game.” Namco Bandai are promising a rich depth of game-play where players find themselves combine technology with the occult to survive as a solo fighter or teaming up with friends to save London online. Given the random generation of levels, equipment coupled with highly customisable character creation both in appearance and class, replayability should be immense. In fact Hellgate: London has been likened to a 3D version of the classic Diablo game from Blizzard. Hordes of demons will assail the player while the grapple with a robust , flexible skill and spell system. Despite all of its randomness, Namco Bandai are giving assurances that Hellgate: London will also feature a deep story-driven campaign. Until Halloween rolls around, we hide under the sheets in anticipation. |
