Alvarion, the company reportedly chosen to supply WiMAX gear for Opel's planned rollout, is to incorporate technology from iBurst developer ArrayComm into its equipment to boost its performance.Featured Whitepaper

However 4Motion is Alvarion's mobile WiMAX (IEEE802.16e) product, not the 802.16d technology that Opel reportedly intends to use. ArrayComm claims to be the leader in multi-antenna signal processing (MAS) software for wireless systems. The software is deployed into a wide range of different wireless technologies, apart from ArrayComm's own iBurst technology. According to ArrayComm, A-MAS implementations include W-CDMA, HSDPA, WiMAX, PHS, GSM, and HC-SDMA networks, some 300,000 base stations in total.{moscomment} |
