Crack that whip! LEGO Indiana Jones announced E-mail

Following in the successful brick footsteps of Lego Star Wars, Lucas Arts announces the forthcoming LEGO Indiana Jones: The Videogame.

The simple idea of combining cultural icons Star Wars and LEGO building blocks was a recent cross platform hit, twice for Lucas Arts.

But it was not a forgone conclusion; they game gave us simple game play, combined with a tongue-in-cheek bordering on piss-take approach to representing both universes of LEGO and Star Wars.

Now Lucas Arts announce the working titled Lego Indiana Jones: The Videogame, hoping to recapture the same feel as the Star Wars titles.

As per those games, this one will be developed by Traveller's Tales, and includes all three Indy films within scope.

Jim Ward, president of LucasArts, said, "In addition to providing the quality bonding time inspired by any good family game, Lego Indiana Jones delivers something a little different for everyone. Parents will enjoy the humorous take on some of their favourite movies, and their kids get some rousing action/adventure gameplay that may also introduce them to Indy's original adventures for the first time."

At this point in time we have no other details such as platforms or release dates, but point your browser here to check out the hilarious (especially the boulder scene) first trailer.
