In the run-up to E3, Electronic Arts has revealed limited details of two of the three games it is developing in conjunction with filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

One is an action puzzle for the Nintendo Wii that involves manipulating blocks via the console's wireless remote. Code named PQRS, it is said to have a real-time physics engine, and in line with the Wii's appeal to casual players it will be easy to get started with the game.

"[I]magine there are up to 50 different properties that can be associated with [the blocks]. They can explode or form a chemical reaction," Neil Young, general manager of EA's Los Angeles studio told the Associated Press.

The other game - identified only as LMNO - is described as a contemporary action-adventure that involves a relationship between the player and a non-playing character, Young told the Hollywood Reporter.

A Newsweek article characterised the game as being like "North by Northwest meets ET - if ET were female, grown up and, um, hot."

LMNO is being developed for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3.

The company is staying mum for now about the third game under development with Spielberg.
