Quantum and Intraware Team up to Enrich the Rich Media Market E-mail

Quantum Corporation, the leading global specialist in backup, recovery and archive, today announced the appointment of Intraware as the exclusive Australian/New Zealand distributor for its A-Series data tape product line which include the SDLT600A and LTO-3 A-Series drives.

Intraware is a leading supplier of products that cater to broadcast networks, video production and post production facilities and audio recording studios.

The agreement strengthens Quantum’s channel strategy in the region and leverages the combined expertise of both companies to deliver data protection solutions specifically to the rich media reseller market as well as provide value added service and support to resellers.

With an extensive network of resellers throughout Australia and New Zealand, Intraware will market, sell and support Quantum’s complete line of data tape solutions that have been enhanced for the Professional Video and Broadcast market. The A-Series technology includes a tape based file system, network attached via GbE interface and MXF file handling capability. The A-Series solution is available in a standalone format, rackmount, or in the SuperLoader3A autoloader. Intraware will also offer Quantum’s StorNext FX to Apple resellers to provide their end users transparent data access in Xsan-managed SANs.
