WebSitePulse activates two new monitoring locations in Beijing and Shanghai, China E-mail
Wednesday, 27 June 2007
WebSitePulse, a leading provider of global, independent and remote monitoring of web-based and e-mail systems, web applications and e-business transactions announced today the activation of two new monitoring locations in Beijing and Shanghai, China.
With its new monitoring locations in Mainland China, WebSitePulse expands its presence in the Asian Pacific region, and offers even broader web monitoring choices to its customers.

According to the China Internet Network Information Centre, China had more than 137 million Internet users at the end of 2006, making it the second to the US in the number of Internet users. Beijing residents accounted for 30.4 percent of the Nation’s total Internet use. Shanghai placed second with 28.7 percent of total Internet users.

“WebSitePulse perceives the phenomenal growth potential of China as an opportunity to serve more customers with e-business operations targeting the Chinese market, as well as China-based e-businesses communicating with the rest of the world,” says WebSitePulse CEO Iavor Marinoff. “So far, we have been offering web monitoring services from our Singapore and Hong Kong locations, but now, performance data generated by our system in Beijing and Shanghai will be much more precise, reliable, and useful to our customers depending on web-based business opportunities, transactions, and communications with China,” Marinoff added.

Information about websites, web systems, and web applications performance measured from the specific geographic locations where the end users are is important, as it provides e-business owners and operators with critical operational insights and with the consumers’ perspective of the success of the web-based transactions and interactions.

The deployment of the global monitoring network is of a strategic importance to WebSitePulse, and will continue over the next years.
